			<description>Greeting my Lords and Ladies,

Currently their are five chapters in my campaign and 6 more turns to go before the season ends and we find who has won by Land and who has won by glory. So without further ado, my story.

Dear Knights,

Here is my first submission to the literature section, it takes the form of a Prophetess instructing a Damsel about her duties to the questing knights.

It was originally going to be about the mental and physical illness suffered by the aging knight, but the prophetess eventually made an interesting narrator, switching between coldness, warmness, teaching, devotion and longing. I suspect she might be an interesting role model for the poor damsel, and hope that her dark sense of humour and sly understanding of how the relationships between knights and damsels comes across as she lectures her student. Finally, as it's a prophetess telling the story, I wanted everything that happens to be foretold in some abstract way, even down to the very last line, to reward a second reading.

			<title>New shorter domain: bretonnia.org</title>
			<link>http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=733&amp;Itemid=42</link>
			<description>
You can now reach the Round Table of Bretonnia with a new shorter domain name in your browser:

bretonnia.org (http://bretonnia.org)

Long-time members might remember that address from back in the days, or even originate from this past community. After a domain grabber sat on that URL for years with the purpose of selling it, it finally became free so it was secured for the Round Table.

			<title>Alternative trebuchet model</title>
			<link>http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=732&amp;Itemid=31</link>
			<description>
Article about an alternative trebuchet model and how to assemble it.

The current official trebuchet model looks great but it does have quite a bit of flaws &amp;ndash; it is difficult to assemble and paint, costs quite a bit of money, but most important flaw for me is that it is made of metal and is very hard to customize.

Winner of the Silver for the 2011 Anniversary Literature Competition

The night draws ever on. The longest night of my meagre, yet suddenly curtailed life. I know that i will not survive to see the coming of the dawn, that priviliege has been forever denied to me. It is only now, armed with the certainty of my own demise, that i am able to see those very rare occasions when i was awake to see dawn as a priviliege. That simple opportunity that i failed to excercise and appreciate before, has suddenly become my single greatest regret, my deepest want and most fervent wish.

			<title>The prize after the grail.</title>

Winner of the Bronze for the 2011 Anniversary Literature Competition

Well this is just a simple little story of what happens to the grail knights who don't build a chapel and hang out in the woods. The story of what they were really fighting for.

Reuna rode onwards, steering Excalibur's forced trot with his knees as his hands dealt with the long tree that he had recently cut down. He had already trimmed the branches off and was less than happy with how it had ended up. It was no lance but it would have to do. He glanced behind him to his many traveling items, the familiar clanking of his great sword and baggage that had stayed behind him for all these years, no longer brought comfort and in fact seemed almost alien now.

			<description>A Guide to the Otherworld

by Ingund of Brionne and Zythaar Darksoul

When the polar gates collapsed it allowed the magic of chaos to flow into the world. It flooded and soaked into everything in the mortal plane like a penetrating liquid. Over time it solidified forming a world made of pure chaos energy and magic that occupied the same space as the mortal world, creating a mirrored plane, known as Eira Esori &amp;ndash; the Otherworld.

			<title>6th anniversary of The Round Table of Bretonnia</title>
			<link>http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=717&amp;Itemid=42</link>
			<description>

Hear hear, another year has passed! I can still remember our glorious fifth anniversary (and, in fact still have the logo in my forum signature) and now the Round Table just turned six. A lot has happened in the last year: Thanks to your supporting donations (index.php?option=com_fireboard Itemid=87 func=view id=56934 catid=2) we moved to a more powerful server and we passed 4000 members. Let's hope that more exciting things are to come within the next year: passing 5000 registered members and, possibly, the release of a new army book?

In any case, get ready for the oncoming celebrations which traditionally run until almost the end of the year. As usual, you can expect literature and painting competitions and the Round Table awards ceremony. May you'll even have a chance to prove yourself in joust!

Watch the site frontpage and this announcement for further information about the events.

 Current Anniversary Events:

	The 2011 Anniversary Painting Competition (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=719 Itemid=69)
	The 2011 Anniversary Literature Competition (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=718 Itemid=69)

	The Anniversary Awards Ceremony (index.php?option=com_fireboard Itemid=87 func=view catid=2 id=114065#114065)

			<title>Unleash the Full Power of Bretonnia. Deployment, construction</title>
			<link>http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=711&amp;Itemid=26</link>
			<description>
For the 2nd part of my tactica I desire to give an overview about how the game plays in different phases and how to prepare for it.

Again this is to help you play a better game not to limit you to my tactics and my observations. This section is to give you an idea how the flow of battle goes and how you should deal with each section.

As with many things keep in mind that nothing survives contact with the enemy and remember this is just a guideline. Keep your wits around you and keep your plans fluid. Also play your own game, keep your opponent guessing and don't become predictable.

For the LADY!

			<title>Unleash the Full Power of Bretonnia. Bret units</title>
			<link>http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=710&amp;Itemid=26</link>
			<description>
This is a guide to help people get more from their armies. I wrote this to help people get a quick overview of how to play a better game by giving some tactics and discussing how each of the phases of the game should be played.

It is my hope that this helps new players get their footing in the game and hopefully become a better player capable of competing even at a tournament levels. I also hope that it can serve as a bit of a reminder to old veterans to help raise their level of gameplay and show that things can be very deep and complicated.

 What this is not intended to do is to be an absolute word on all things Bretonnia. This is to get your foot in the door and give you a solid base on how to play the game. It is YOUR job to take the army and make it your own. Do not let this trap you into just playing what I recommend. Take some tips but develop your own tactics. Play your game, not mine.

Lastly... Have fun! We are playing a GAME. Games are supposed to be FUN!

 This section is dedicated to the the units in our armyand what they can be used for and what they can do.

For the LADY!

			<title>Questing Chronicles. V Reprieve</title>

The Roth Saga

Reprieve

The pristine white dove perched on one fragile pink hued leg. With infinite care the delicate beak preened and cleaned the already immaculate feathers of it's right wing, which was lifted overhead to better access the finer feather quills. It paused from it's fastiduous ministrations to pass eyes of liquid jet across the mossy floor of the stone circle. With a sense of anticipation growing within the exquisite bird, it began to tread back and forth across the ancient standing stone on which it stood. Small coo's began to sound from the tiny throat of the dove as it's head bobbed in eager anticipation.

			<title>Questing Chronicles. I</title>
			<link>http://www.roundtable-bretonnia.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=702&amp;Itemid=27</link>
			<description>
A tale of the venerable Lord Roth, in his ever continuing search for the Grail.

The Roth Saga.

Questing Chronicles.I.

 Part I.

 The sleeper awoke to darkness, heart hammering, ears straining and muscles tensing. With an almost impossibly swift motion the figure which lay upon the mossy carpet of the forest floor had scissored his legs and used the momentum to rise into a crouching stance. Alarmed at the sudden movement a huge steel grey warhorse tethered to a nearby beech sapling began to whinny and toss it's mighty head to and fro in excited anticipation. Oblivious to the frantic actions of the mighty warhorse the figure sent his senses out into the night to seek out the cause of his rude awakening.
