This article is for Tulmir, and of course, the Lords and Ladies of the Round Table. Enjoy!
Pinning Knights and Horses
A major challenge every Bretonnian player faces is the careful storage of his or her hard-worked on Knights. Some of us use foam trays specially made for our miniatures, some of us used modified toolboxes, some use just boxes of an appropiate size for an Army. However, our lances, banners, swords and scabbards, tassels, and even the crests of a helmet can bend and break, ruining hours of hard work. The best way to prevent such disasters, is of course, careful storage, and the best way to store and transport our knights? By keeping rider and mount stored separately, of course!

Winner of the 1st place in the 2012 Literature Competition
The twin hounds raced towards the limestone cliffs that rose at the far end of the valley. Mightily muscled beasts they were, broad of chest and thick of bone, bred for generations to fulfil the role they were currently tasked with. Red on white the colour of their coat, black of eye, triangular the shape of both orbit and skull. Together they hunted, breaths coming in powerful pants as the fire in their eyes and hearts spurred them ever onwards in their search for the scent that had been keyed to them. As the hounds paused and scented a gorse bush that had been crushed near the chalk path they followed, a high pitched whistle sounded three times behind them. At once the hounds pricked up their ears, ceased in their investigations and trembled in anticipation as they waited for the one who followed.

Just another year has passed for all the knights and ladies at the Round Table, this one marking our 7th anniversary! And, as predicted, we passed the 5000 registered members mark (an increase by almost 1000 since the last anniversary). No news of an army book yet, but who knows what this year brings.
Our traditional celebrations will last until the end of the year, and as every year you can already wet your brushes and sharpen your pencils in preparation of the competitions to be announced. For the first time, this anniversary we will also have an "open" contest category, in which you can submit anything you like such as ideas, drafts, drawings, or other Bretonnian art. The theme of this year's anniversary will be the Errantry War. After seven years, we feel like our crusade finally reaches an end. You can still submit anything you like in the contests, but bonus points will be awarded for following the theme.
Watch the site frontpage and this announcement for further information about the events to come.
Update: Both deadlines are extended until December 10th.

THE SECOND TALE OF SIR SIMON DU MONTFORTE, KNIGHT OF THE QUEST:
BLOOD ON THE SANDS
In which a new friend is discovered, an ancient evil is awoken, and a vile secret is revealed
Listen
then ye ladies and gentlesirs, as I tell thee the second tale of Sir
Simon, a most noble knight of the Quest. It is a story of desperate battles under the unforgiving moons, of blood on the desert sands, and most of all, the courage of a
true Bretonnian. So hearken then, and let us begin our next journey...
