i just read this article, let me say that i loved it. this is gonig to help me improve 100 percent with my painting. i'm going to do this on my men at arms right now!

For another tip on painting checkers, I use a little cheating trick.

Buy a very thin tipped permanent marker (they sell them at Wal-mart of similiar places, they look like pens but have a small felt tip). If you screw up the checker pattern, just go over it at the end with the marker, they come in multiple colours, black would be useful for this pattern as an easy correction. Its also much easier to fix a stray paint line with a marker then with a brush.
