The Folly of Prince Rodrik 2 Years, 3 Months ago
I am proud to present you one of my greatest treasures:

Prince Rodrik's Band of Questing Knights

Yes, these are the original miniatures (well at least 6 of 8) from the Battle Report "The Folly of Prince Rodrik" from White Dwarf No. 305 (pages 34-47). I bought them last year directly from GW employee Andrew Hoare, who built and painted 4 of them. They are absolutely unique.

How pray did you get in touch with him to buy them??

He put the knights on eBay in August 2011, but just listed them as "Unique painted and converted Bretonnian foot knights". I spotted and identified them as the original knights from the WD battle report. So I was quite lucky to get them.

Messire Duc! Would you be so kind to shoot a picture from the back of the figures?
Your worst Knightmare.

I fear that I would likely be too fainthearted to use those figures in battle, I would probably put them under glass and display them on a shelf. A disservice to them of course as they are beautiful. Congrats on finding and acquiring them.

I seem to remember that article too, unfortunately I don't feel like digging through all my white dwarfs to find it >< They're filling more than one drawer in a filing cabinet as it is....I really should organize them someday....

Duc de Gisoreux, wasn't there a Bretonnian casualty model in the 3rd edition as well?

I think I just got it. Is it this one?

Astounding gallery of models here, especially the Mordheim Lustria Brets. May your dedication to the hobby be sung by bards for 7 generations. But I do have a sort of request for this archive. Do you think you'd be able to get a hold of the "missing" 6th ed questing knights or even a photo or two? There were a number of QK in photos of the latest AB that I personally have ONLY seen in the AB, despite numerous searches, and I think it's the same case for others too since I haven't seen them in any of the armies of people that have been playing for several editions even. I'll have to look at the pictures again, but I know one had a mail hood with a book on his sword and another had a large beard and a pot helm. They can't be conversions because there are 2 of the same models in the photo, just the barding and beard painted different colors. Have you seen any of those?

EDIT: I'm a moron, they're already there.... Must've missed that part of the photo sets

I am glad that you like my collection. The Questing knights you mentioned are no longer available for several years and are quite rare now. I watched an auction on eBay that ended yesterday and contained these two models (along with two others). It was sold for 101 € (that's about £83 or $133):
