Yes, the issue should be fixed now, sorry for the trouble. Please post here if you encounter further issues with errors "Forbidden (403)" or "Not Acceptable (406)" (Just a white page with the error). If you tell me the time when it happened I can usually quickly fix it.

A little background: Everything posted to the site gets inspected by a firewall for spam or potential security risks and blocked if strange things are detected. With the migration to the new server there were new rules in place, some of which were misconfigured and wrongly took some regular posts for problems.

It seems to be a problem that comes and goes. I tried posting and got the error message that I "don't have permission to post on this server" so I logged out and logged in again and it worked that time. I tried to post again after that and got the error message again.

Thanks for the report, CarpeNoctum! I could find the blocking in the logs. In your case it was because of a certain word in your message that's also a command that could be possibly used for a server attack. I now reconfigured the firewall and it should pass through.


Whenever someone runs into the error, best notify me here and I can check the logs. You can also go back in your browser, copy the exact message you wanted to post, paste it in some file and send it to me so I can investigate. It's usually because of some suspicious word in the message.

I've been getting a white screen that says "Not authorised to access index/php" or something to that effect when I try to post in the Chapel of Glory. I got my inital post up but no text inside it, then I could edit it once to type "Test" in there but nothing more.

I've tried rebooting and relogging but it hasn't helped.

I was trying to post 2014-01-26 late at night GMT+1 <--- If that helps :>

I was having trouble posting a new topic when I had links in it... but if I removed the (http://www.) then it would post... very strange...

Thanks for the detailed timing, I was able to find the problem and fix it. Apparently there were some "suspicious" characters in your message. Could you try again?

Hi there Guillaime, getting the same 'Forbidden 406' error when I tried to post the fluff for the Mordheim campaign over the past 10 minutes or so (it's 21:43 GMT currently). I am copy/pasting from an openoffice document, so it may be a 'suspicious' character like Jinxed.

If you need any more information let me know.

Fixed now, can you try again? You ran into the spam trap. You message contained "what will happen is"... now, remove the blanks and look at the last 5 characters...
