Fair rebuttals, all. I do think that Lv.1s being useless is a serious problem in warhammer too.

Damsels don't need to be more iconic. They're better for knights, by giving them better buff spells (like +1 S and T) and MR. Devotee serves peasants better because she can't be mounted and gives them regen while in their unit. And though currently I can't run an all peasant army, I'm sure that the necessity of taking a unit of knights will be removed. Given that, I like the idea of being able to field a peasant revolution, which honestly would be cool to do now, and very very fluffy.

Ah, I see where you're coming from now, I was really only considering it regarding Bretonnia as it stands. Yes, I foresee the infantry-only build being something possible with a new Bret list. I'd particularly like to have it as an option for siege defence.
