Round Table FAQ for Bretonnian Army book in 8th edition 5 Years, 8 Months ago
I think we definitely need our own FAQ about how Bretonnian Army book works in 8th edition (for all the questions no covered in GW´s official FAQ).
Perhaps moderators could create such sticky?
It would be especially handy if we reach a conclusive agreement about some question, so that the answer with argumentation could be easily available for new members.

I think they may, once we reach a consensus on any issues. Bit premature if we have nothing to put there yet.

There is already a post about that somewhere on this forum.
But I have an idea. If we make the FAQ, and sent it to GW, why wouldn't they post it (if they agree with it of course).
I'm sure it'll help them...

We may try
First
Change I4 to I3 (its never used right now on 8th rules) or
Give the QK special ability to strike with Great sword in initiative order. They would be better than ordinary GW handler and worst than Great Swords from HE

Ursus, those are rule changes, an FAQ is a clarification of the current rules. So whenever there is something unclear we discuss it and put it in our Community FAQ.
I would support this, gives an immediate overview of major issues.

I4 is handy.
What if we face a dwarf hero (I3) with a great weapon.
Now we strike first, otherwise we strike at the same times.

If the model with this rule is fighting an enemy with the same ability, the Attacks are made simultaneously. BRB page 66
So I4 give us nothing.

This would require the involvement of a moderator to remove posts that fall outside of this purpose.
I support this initiative.
In fact, it would be a good Child Board for the Magistrates Bench. Then each issue could have its own discussion.
I do realize, however, that Guillaume is leery on creating more Forum Categories.

First thing to do would be to form all questions that have arisen with the new edition into single post and gather them into single place. Then start brainstorming them to get the answers. The moderator should open that first post and keep it updated if good enough answer is established.

I4 on questing knights DOES affect saves based on Iniative. A few spells, items, or terrain cause initiative test or die.

Yes, definitely a good idea, even though it would only be an "interim" FAQ dealing with our current army book and 8th edition until the new army book comes out.
In fact, it would be a good Child Board for the Magistrates Bench. Then each issue could have its own discussion.

That's right, though I'm not all against it when there are good reasons. However, since we already have this board for rule questions and discussions, it fits best here. What's the difference between a rules question and a frequently asked one, until it is being asked more than once?
I think the current system worked really good where FAQs were discussed here, and the answers for commonly asked questions were then put into an article for reference.

Alright, so we have a green light for this? I'll make a topic where questions can be asked (I'll summarize them in the first post), this topic is only for questions so no discussing, we can use a different topic for discussing the questions.
Is this alright for everyone?
