Jean Marcel, King of Mousillon
Jean Marcel with the Knights Vow
Jean Marcel with the Questing Vow

Jean Marcel, a lord of l'Anguille, son to a murdered family, and above all an honourable knight of Bretonnia... or at least he was. After being defeated by the armies of Mousillon during the battle of Châtillon-sur-Loire in 1594, Jean's body disappeared. Many assumed he had fallen in battle.

I give you the unofficial rules for Jean Marcel, King of Mousillon for 8th edition rules. Included are versions of him as a Knight of the Realm on page 1 and as a Questing Knight on page 2. Beside all special rules and equipment are point costs to show the amount of the total cost that has been alotted to it, therefore being an easy piece for open discussion.

During the year of 1594, the War of the Five Realms destroyed the fabric of the Bretonnian hierarchy. After a knight, known only as Seibleux, called himself ruler of Mousillon and slew the king did the armies march out from the depths of the city, conquering over one third of the Bretonnian land. Many died at the might of the armies and many joined in the cause believing a true leader had emerged. Other realms broke out under 4 other significant rulers all with titles to the throne and the Fey Enchantress was nowhere in sight.

It was in these times that Jean struck back against King Seibleux and, in a duel to decide the fate of the land, struck him down. To everyone's surprise he had not died. Jean instead took to the throne of Mousillon as the people roared and cheered him on, believing in his cause... yet there is so much more to this that they didn't know. Jean's skin had looked as if it was rotting while his anger evolved further, but the Bretonnian people aligned himself with them all the same... believing the Lady saved him from death, but Jean had changed.

After his death in 1594, an evil that awaited in his body, the same hatred that built up inside of him, refused to allow his soul to leave in relief. Instead, he was barred in his body like a cell and the darkness within him took control evermore. His fury became harnessed, his hair became white, his skin became pale. His eyes had a red undertone and his teeth became sharpened, stories flood the streets of Jean taking wounds in battle yet not a drop of blood has been shed. What was the man before was now a monster, a beast of the night. Now sitting on the throne and crowned the King of Mousillon, Jean's quench for war can not be stopped, trapped forever through the sands of time in a world between life and death as the beast of a man he has become, should any essence of human life remain behind his fleshy appearance. The people are blind to it, but his wrath knows no bounds now, there is no stopping a force that cannot die.

This thread discusses the Content article: Jean Marcel, King of Mousillon

Jean....you really get about dude.
Your unholy incarnation {or incarceration} of your character is excellent.
Liking the fluff and the vast array of special rules, and the reasons you gave for him having them.
65 points more than Vlad himself?
.....There is a distinct megalomaniac quality about you that i never noticed before.
Nice work Jean.

A very Evil person

He is supposed to be the ultimate version of Jean which is a step up from his Grail version hence the extremely high point cost. I tried, I honestly TRIED, to keep Jean's points down in costs from Vlad, but because of the step-up nature from the Grail Knight version, which was 400 and some points, he needed to be in the high 400s traveling into the 500s.

I was thinking of knocking some of the add-ons off to make him cheaper and try to round him out.

The King of Mousillon thing is actually a part of a campaign I played with Uther, so it isn't that Megalomaniac of me because I actually worked my way into being King of Mousillon through a series of misdeeds and assassinations and was eventually crowned! So Uther has been bugging me for 2-3 years to make a Vampire Jean based off the one in the war of the five realms, and there he is. He was supposed to be an all-powerful beast of things, but I believe he's slightly TOO powerful. At least he's balanced in price cost!

Thanks for the comments!
