The names of knights and ladies from Chrétien de Troyes' 12th century Arthurian romances.  If you're stuck for some character names, hopefully this list can provide some inspiration.

The names of knights and ladies from Chrétien de Troyes' 12th century Arthurian romances.  If you're stuck for some character names, hopefully this list can provide some inspiration.

Some of the names are of knights from Greece who come into one of the tales, and a few are the names of knights from the kingdom of the dwarfs.  These are included, but may not always be as old-french as most of the knightly names.  Most of the famous heroes of the Arthurian legends figure here - many, such as Lancelot, for the first time.
