textedit_80.pngThis Wednesday (10th of December) in the evening (about 19-20h GMT), the Round Table will be offline for maintenance for a short time. A new Gallery will be installed - you can check out the new features right after that. Of course, your existing images, comments and all will be preserved.

Update: The migration to the new Gallery is done - check the discussion below for details!

This thread discusses the Content article: Maintenance at Wednesday evening (GMT)

The gallery was successfully updated, there are just a few images missing that I will have to move manually. The new gallery has some new features, with a new and improved design. I hope you enjoy it!

Report any problems, questions and bugs here. I will (probably) be able to fix them immediately, since I participated in the development of the gallery component

I like the look of it!

I'll have to see what hidden mechanisms you've inserted now.

Bravo,
Harolde

Hiding, meee why would I do that

One new feature are the "Favourites". You can now favour a number of images, which will be saved in your favourites so you can find them easily. By now, your favourites will also be "shown off" to all visitors of your profile. Check out my profile for an example!

Another new feature are the two BBCode-Share fields at the picture details... and there's a lot more under the hood that I probably already forgot.

So far, I like it.

If only...

I suppose I'd just like it if a picture could exist in two parent galleries at once.

1) the master gallery (such as the Anniversary Painting Competition)

and 2) the owner's own gallery.

This way, I could look at a picture in the person's gallery and then skip to another.

This is how I usually scan through the gallery - by the author, not the category.

Agreed on that remark I too go through the gallery via Author no Category and it can be a bit aggravating when it sends you elsewhere through the category when you want to see more of the person's models, just my opinion. Besides that I really like the update GLC, good job.

Yes, it would be nice browsing the Gallery by user... that would require a lot of changes to the code however. Maybe in the future it'll be possible!

What I usually do is go to the profile of a user, the "Gallery" tab there, and then open the single images in a new tab of the browser. That works quite well for me.

Yes - sir. That would be the best way to do it.

So... can a "child" have multiple "parents" in this database system?
