Boardcode

Boardcode (also known as BBcode) are special tags that will allow you to format your messages. Instead of using HTML-Tags, you can only use BBcode for layouting your forum messages when posting. You can use BBcode in the following way:

Including Images

There are different ways to include images in your post. If you have the image already stored somewhere on the Internet (e.g. at Imageshack), just put the address (URL) of the image in the board tags [img] and [/img]. If it is very big, you can resize it by giving the max. dimension, e.g. 400px: [img=400]http://example.com/image.jpg[/img]

If you want to present some finished miniature or unit of yours, the best thing to do is to upload it in our Gallery, and then link to that image. After you uploaded the image there, right click on the image itself in the gallery, and choose "Copy image location" (e.g. in Firefox). In Internet Exlorer, you can copy the image address when choosing "Properties".
Then, paste that address in between the [img] tags just like above.

You can also upload and attach images directly from your harddrive, one per post and maximum 800x1000px, 300kB. Just click the apprpriate button under the textbox for posting. The image will be attached to the end of your post, or anywhere in between, if you put a single [img] tag there.

You can align images to the left or right, with the following text next to it by using [imgl] or [imgr] instead of [img] for the starting and ending tag. This is especially useful for putting text and a heraldry in your signature.

Including Videos

You can also include videos from external locations, such as Youtube, in your post. Use the tag:

[video type=youtube]video_id[/video]

replacing video_id with the ID of the video. The ID of a Youtube-video is the sequence of characters after "?v=..." up to the end or next ampresand (&) in the address of te video. So, to include the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0_aZXI-3uY, you would need copy the ID in between the video-tags, so they look like:

 [video type=youtube]X0_aZXI-3uY[/video]

Only videos publicly available (with needing to log in) can be included.

Lists

You can post nicely layouted ordered or unorderd lists using the following codes:

Links

Links to other forum messages or websites can be posted using the tags below. Usually, it is also enough to just post a web address like http://www.example.org, the board software converts it to a clickable link then.

Forum Ranks

After posting some messages, your forum rank will change. The order of the ranks is as follows:

Moderators:

Administrators:

For obvious reasons, there are no post counts visible, and for the same reason, we do not publish the numbers you need for each rank. Just be happy, if you have reached one you like ;)
