Celebrating our 2nd anniversary, the official painting competition is hereby opened! Until October 15th everybody can upload their submissions in the new category "Anniversary Painting Competition " in the Gallery.

If needed, I will set up appropriate sub-categories later, depending on the number of submitted pictures.

The Rules

  1. Each member can submit at most one submission (=character, unit, scenery...)
  2. You must upload at least two pictures showing your submission from different angles. The better the lighting and qualtity of your pictures, the better the quality of your miniatures can be judged!
  3. As with the rest of the gallery, please upload only pictures of your own miniatures.
  4. Your submission must be related to Bretonnia.
  5. Your submission must be a new one, i.e. you may not have submitted it to the gallery here or elsewhere in the past. It's OK if you just uploaded it to our gallery recently, just move it to the painting competition gallery then.

This thread discusses the Content article: Anniversary Painting Competition

May I, for example, simply paint a KE for the competition?

I thought about painting my first KE exclusively for the anniversary with the promise to finish the whole unit before the third anniversary of the Round Table (a realistic view from my point ).
Re:Anniversary Painting Competition Oct 02 2007 13:10
Yes, you are free to submit any kind of miniature, one or a unit, that is related to Bretonnia. If there are enough single models and units, they will compete in separate categories.

Due to the lack of participation, the deadline will be end of this month, 31st of October.

Excellent, I promise that I'll finish my entry...and hope it will be a good one

Oh MAN, thats great!! To think that I was going to work all night when I decided to check the board!!
Re:Anniversary Painting Competition Oct 15 2007 09:53
When exactly does the submission part end? I want to upload a pic for the competition, but I'll have to wait till I get home from work in 5-6 hours.

Doh, didn't see that the deadline had been postponed...sorry about that

Just a reminder... little more than one week left!

Guillaume,

Will it be permissible for me to enter a small diorama piece which will consist of a single Bretonnian character and maybe one or two non-Bretonnian adversaries?
If so, how would this be judged; as a single Bretonnian? or a terrain piece?
Sorry for being awkward, but I thought it would be prudent to ask before deciding what I'll finally be submitting for the competition.

Sir Guy

I guess you wanted to post in the thread for the current, 2008 competition here.

To answer your question: the diorama will probably be judged as a whole. If you want just the miniature to be judged, then just note so...
