Once every year, the wardens meet. They come from three villages wich are in close proximity. All wardens do this at  the exact same time. They bring two bodyguards, selected from the best peasants in their village. If there was a rebellion brewing, this would be the best time to discuss tactics and war councills, because not even knighs are allowed to see the wardens while they are talking. This is the reason why Lothar the unjust tried to stop them in his short-lived reign over Gisoreux, but was given adience in the king's rooms, and came out a humbled man.
