The Legion of Champions is a unit of stubborn foot knights that are based upon a battle fought by Duke Folcard of Montfort himself in the defense of the great castle that guards Axe Bite Pass. Since their creation, I have gotten countless remarks on how well done the unit has been written up, by even Games Workshop themselves. -The unit starts with the Knight's Vow

Special Rules-
-To fight until they die was their purpose, for this the unit counts as stubborn
-Blessed Honor- Roll a D6 for every start of fresh combat, the effects will last until either unit is destroyed or flees (in other words, until combat ends)
1, The Lady has seen no true valor or devotion in the knights, their armor turns black. The knights suffer a -1 to all armor saves to represent them being hurt much more easily, and must take an immediate panic test. (If the panic test is failed and the unit begins to flee, they will have an additional -1 to their armor save and the previous armor modification stays. If the unit Rallies, they will no longer suffer from the additional -1 to their armor save but The original -1 will stay. None of this occurs if the unit does not fail the panic test.) Note: The permanent -1 on their armor save can not be modified if this occurrence happens twice.
2-5, The Lady has blessed their shields in their time of need and their will to fight increases. Add an additional +1 to the unit's armor save & they gain a 6+ ward save, which is Increased to +5 if against an enemy with strength 5 or higher
6, The Lady has blessed their swords with powers that are from beyond this world. All Knights get +1 strength, and have a 6+ regeneration roll
-Tower Shields - The unit may opt to -1 from their movement to be able to gain this bonus. Because of the size of their shields, the unit's armor save may be increased by 2 against all missile weapons. This DOES include against ALL war machines (unless they would otherwise have none because of certain rules or the strength of the attack is too strong) and magic missiles in this case.
-Unblessed of the Lady- due to their faith in the Lady being shattered after being pushed on with bad luck after even losing their very horses, they must search for battle to gain the blessing! The Legion of Champions will never start with the blessing of the lady, even if the army prays.

All Knights are equipped with: Hand Weapons (Swords), Heavy Armor, and Tower Shields
Unmodified Armor Save: 4+
Options: -The Unit may have a Legion Master for +15 pts.
-The Unit may have a Standard Bearer for +10 pts.
-The Unit may have a Musician for +10 pts.
