Dwarf GateFor some it might be old news, but new information for others at the same time. There is definately going to be a MMORPG in the Warhammer World, targeted as direct rival to World of Warcraft. After the first failed attempt of GW with Warhammer Online, there are now new interesting pictures from W.A.R. (Warhammer Age Of Reckoning), being developed by Mythic Entertainment. There is no confirmation of a Representation of Bretonnia (...yet?), but the players can definately be of Human race among others. Everything seems to be centered around the Empire, though.

In the March Preview, there are a many interesting concept pictures, be sure to check them out. Release Date is planned to be 2007.

I have Dawn of War 40 K tell me what your name is and pick up the expansion Winter Assault!! and yes I really do hope that Bretonnia is in this new game....it is certainly unfair for all games to be of Empire and some evil race. Why cannot the other realms of men be in there?
Re:Another Warhammer PC game: W.A.R. Mar 24 2006 04:11
sir you said that you dunno if bretonnia is in this....well i dont think they are because i was lookin at the game backstory and it only mentions the empire, dark elves, dwarves, and high elves.

In Karak Eight Peaks, a great greenskin Waaagh! is building. In the northern reaches of the Empire, the servants of Tzeentch have already marched deep into Ostland and are laying waste to everything in their path. Prince Tyrion's army has raced north to engage the marauding Dark Elves, only to learn that a second invasion force has begun a siege of Lothern.

Recognizing that the only way to counter the threats arrayed against them will be to combine their strengths, the leaders of the Empire and the nations of the Dwarfs and the High Elves convene a great Council of Wisdom in the Imperial capital of Altdorf. At this summit, the three rulers forge a pact that their peoples shall fight as one and strike back at the enemies who would conquer their homelands

that was takin from it...

Lol, I play Imperial Guard and Space Marines, I use them decently as I'm not too good at the game. Tell me, what do you think is better? Space Marine normal Terminators or Assault Terminators? Of course with their dropping ability it seems that Assault Termies are best.
Re:Another Warhammer PC game: W.A.R. Mar 25 2006 03:35
I think that if you put Bretonnia into a game for PC they would seem to much like the empire. If you look at DOW the races they chose are completely different, but in WFB many of the human races have similarities (knights, mediocre infantry, realistic warmachines) simply because they are human.
Re:Another Warhammer PC game: W.A.R. Mar 25 2006 03:38
Bretonnia is VERY different from the empire as we are stronger and more capable but lack ranged weaponry and we have different war machines!! What are you speaking of? Maybe our looks are close then, our religion is different, our peasants our lowly and not anywhere near the Empire's troops.

That's what would make our race interesting with all of our knights!! inside of a PC game.

I think the only human characters will be Imperials.

Anyway, I'm not going to pay every month to play. So,sadly that's not the game for me.

I don't care for MMORPG's, now if they did a WFB Stategy game (and not that horrible "Curse of the Horned Rat" I would love it.
There are too many comments to list them all here. See the forum for the full discussion.
